Currently, the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) offers such support for the implementation of business ideas to both brand-new and more experienced entrepreneurs.

When friends go to their favorite cafe for dinner, the chef has prepared a meal and the waiters serve it. The food products used to prepare the meal are grown on farms and cooked on the stove. All these resources together ensure the operation of the café, thanks to the entrepreneur who had the idea to create a café and implemented it by purchasing premises, hiring staff, buying stoves, ordering raw materials for preparing meals and taking responsibility for the successful operation of the company.

So an entrepreneur is a person who, acting entrepreneurially, combines the necessary resources to implement an idea and produce a product or service. Moreover, he does it so well that people want to buy the product or service and are satisfied, and the company itself makes a profit. Since production requires premises, equipment and employees must be paid a salary for the work performed, the entrepreneur must think about how to pay for everything necessary. Entrepreneurs take risks and try to minimize them.
